American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM) The American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine was formed in 1981 to be the unifying force for American acupuncturists who are committed to ethical, high educational standards, and well-regulated profession to ensure the safety of the public.

California Acupuncture Association Representing some of the licensed acupuncturists in California. Listing of practitioners, a bulletin board, news page and a Journal.

National Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Alliance An alliance of practicioners and consumers working to advance Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, based in Washington State, USA. Useful information on training and licensing requirements of various US states.

National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine(NCCAOM) The NCCAOM is a non-profit organization established by the profession to promote nationally recognized standards of competence and safety in acupuncture and Oriental medicine, in the USA.

American Academy of Medical Acupuncture and Medical Acupuncture Research Foundation AAMA/MARF, with membership of licensed acupuncturists, integrates traditional and modern acupuncture with western medical practice creating a comprehensive approach to health care. Research projects, training, and referrals promoted.

The Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) CCAOM was set up to advance acupuncture and Oriental medicine by promoting educational excellence within the field.

Accedidation Committee of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine(ACAOM) The Accedidation Committe of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine is the national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Eduction to accredit professional programs in the acupuncture and Oriental Medicine profession

California State Oriental Medical Association (CSOMA) The California State Oriental Medical Association is a professional organization of liscenced acupuncturists and supporters dedicated to preservation and advancment of the art, science and practice of Oriental Medicine in a caring and ethical manner, enhancing health and well being of the general public.

California Acupuncture Board The mission of this board is to protect and educate the public through appropriate regulation of liscensure, education standards, and enforcement of the Acupuncture Liscensure Act, which includes Oriental Medicine
