2017 COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY INFORMATION

Congratulations Graduates of 2017!!!

South Baylo University (SBU) Board of Trustees, President, Faculty and staff are proud to honor our Graduates of 2017. We congratulate you and welcome you into the ranks of a very unique, challenging and fulfilling position.

Please note the following:

Commencement Ceremony:

Location:  Sa-Rang Community Church
1111 North Brookhurst Street
Anaheim, CA 91801
Telephone: 714-533-1495

Date:  Saturday 20th May 2017 10:00 am

Time: The Ceremony begins at 10:00 am and takes approximately 2 hours.

Graduates should arrive by 8:30am at the latest to arrange gowns and prepare for pre-ceremony group picture.

Cap & Gown Graduate Pick Up:  

Anaheim Front Office: Starting Monday May 8TH 2017
LA Front Office: Starting May 9th 2017
Drop off Location: Gymnasium @ Sa-Rang Church
Drop off Date: Saturday May 20th 2017 (immediately after the ceremony)

Guest Invitation Cards:
2 invitation cards per student are available at the Front office @ Anaheim/Los Angeles Campus. Additional cards can be purchased at either campus, or downloaded from southbaylo.edu
Invitation cards will be available from Monday 3rd April 2017.

Graduation Photos:
First come, first served basis
Anaheim Campus: Wednesday May 17th 2017 11am-7pm at Room # 110
LA Campus: Thursday May 18th 2017 11am-7pm Room # TBA

Commencement Group Photo
The graduate group picture will be taken at Sa-Rang Community Church before the ceremony. Please be at the church by 8:30am

Graduation Ceremony DVD & Photo Albums:
The Graduation DVD & individual photo albums will be available for pick-up from Monday 26th June 2017.

Parking:
Parking at the venue is free. Please remind your guests to park considerately-no double parking please.

Graduation Day & Venue Regulations:

  • Food and drinks are not allowed inside the Church.
  • Light refreshments will be provided outside after the ceremony.
  • Please return your cap, gown & wristband to staff and volunteers in the gym after the ceremony.
  • Please inform your family and friends that they must remain in the guest seating area during the ceremony as they will not be permitted to come past the barrier to speak to graduates or take photos- Please reassure them that there will be plenty of time to take pictures and celebrate after the ceremony.
  • Smoking and alcoholic beverages are prohibited on Sa-Rang Community Church premises.
  • Parking at the venue is free. Please remind your guests to park considerately-no double parking please.

 

Once again, Congratulations and thank you for your cooperation in helping us ensure this memorable event goes smoothly. A detailed schedule for the Graduation Ceremony will be mailed out in early May to help you prepare for the Order of Service.
