South baylo University is interested in talented and qualified persons to pursue a career in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and to achieve their full potential as mentors, teachers and scholars.

Faculties employed by South Baylo University must demonstrate substantial competence and have valid official credentials in their areas of teaching responsibilities.

Faculties assigned to the Master's degree program must possess minimally a Master's degree (or its equivalent) in areas pertaining to position applied for. In addition to this credential requirement, Clinic Supervisors must possess current and valid Acupuncture License issued by the California Acupuncture Board.

The salary range is dependent on research, teaching and clinical experience.

Acupuncturist

Duties: Consult with patients to obtain their medical history and current symptoms that require treatment. Use knowledge of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine to diagnose condition and plan treatment. Select and insert fine needles into the skin at appropriate acupuncture locations to treat patient’s physical and emotional conditions. Incorporate other types of traditional Oriental medicine as needed.

Requirements: Master’s Degree in Acupuncture or Oriental Medicine and valid California Acupuncture license

Hours: 40 hours per week

Accounting Assistant

SBU is in immediate need of a Bookkeeping/General Accounting Assistant to process, prepare and review tuition accounts, investigating past dues and assisting Director of Finance with resolving open issues and additional general administrative duties as assigned.

The position requires a minimum of 1 year of Accounting experience or college level Accounting courses, proficiency in MS Word, Excel, a self-starter personality, the ability to work well with little supervision, excellent communication skills, and a stable work history, experience with Quickbooks would be preferred.
