ANAHEIM CLINIC

Yu You , M.D. (China), M.S., O.M.D., Ph.D., L.Ac., Dipl.Ac. (NCCAOM)
Professor / Clinic Supervisor.

    With over 35 years of clinical experience as Attending Medical Doctor (Internist) in major hospitals in China, and as Practitioner of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in private practice and in major AOM institutions in Southern California, she is a well-respected member in the AOM community. She has an extensive list of credentials as a physician, a supervisor, a lecturer, a researcher, and an administrator, which includes the Director of Clinic and the Academic Dean.


Jung Hee Kim , M.S., L.Ac.,OMD
Associate Professor
    For 17 years, in Korea, she started out as a respected high school educator. She taught subjects such as Ethics, German, English, and Korean History. A graduate of South Baylo University, she is currently an Associate Professor and a Clinic Supervisor in the University's Anaheim Campus. She is credentialed for the treatment/management of patients referred by Kaiser Permanente Medical Group. In addition, she holds a certification in Computer Science from SBU. She is an active participant of local area health fairs, which provide health services to the community. With extensive experiences as a practitioner of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and an administrator (Director of Clinic from 2001 to 2003) in the SBU Clinic, her special interest lies in pain control and herbal prescription of raw, unadulterated herbs.


Jun Feng Xi , L.Ac.
Associate Professor / Clinic Supervisor.
    Junfeng Xi has been employed at South Baylo University since 1998 as a Supervisor and instructor. In 2004 she became Associate Professor of Oriental Medicine and in 2006 she graduated from the SBU OMD program. She has taught Acupuncture Principles, Acupuncture A, B, C & D, Acupuncture Techniques A & B, Acupuncture Theory/Therapy A & B, OM Principles and OM Principle III in the Master's program, and Patient Counseling in Doctoral program and has supervised interns in the clinic. Prior to coming to SBU she worked at the Yunnan Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She was an Attending Doctor and Director of Department of National Medicine Research, member of Academic Committee and member of the committee of Professional Qualification Evaluation at Yunnan Traditional Chinese Medicine Institute, Director of the International Association of Integrated Medicine (USA), Director of Trace Element Association of Yunnan, member of Natural Dialectics Research Committee of China Science and Technology Association, member of Traditional Chinese Medicine Association of China, member of China Research Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine and member of the Acupuncture Association of China. She has published over twenty papers, books and monograghs. She is currently Investigating a two case studies treating Fibromyalgia and Diabetic Retinopathy through the use of Oriental Medicine and teaching classes in the Master's program as well as the Doctoral program.


Sewon Hong, M.S., L.Ac.
Clinic Supervisor.
    Credentialed for the treatment/management of patients referred by Kaiser Permanente Medical Group and experienced in Worker's Compensation cases. A graduate of South Baylo University with experiences in private practice, he specializes in pain control with acupuncture treatments.


Yuri Ovchinnikov, L.Ac., Ph.D.
Clinic Supervisor.
    Graduated S-Petersburg University, Russia, and obtained a Ph.D. from the Academy of Sciences in Moscow, Russia. Two years of field research experience in Beijing, China. Received a M.S. degree in Oriental Medicine from Emperor's College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Santa Monica, California. His specialty lies in the treatment of musculo-skeletal disorders, and geriatric conditions.


Pia Melen , M.S., L.Ac.

Clinic Supervisor.
    Graduated from South Baylo University, she has extensive experience with intergrating Oriental Medicine with other primary healthcare modalities. She strongly believes in the mind/brain and body as a whole and complete system, where the mind/brain triggers specific responses in the body, and vice versa. With patient counseling as adjunct therapy, in addition to acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, she takes a different approach for pain control, stress relief, and healing, and has had many positive responses.
