TITLE Herbal Practice A
UNIT 3
Prerequisite: Upper Division Standing
This course consists of classic theories of infectious diseases caused by exogenous wind and cold factors (cold-injury diseases). Included are etiological differentiations, clinical manifestations including pulse and tongue presentations, and possible complications at different stages (Six Stages: Tai-Yang, Shao-Yang, Yang-Ming, Tai-Yin, Shao-Yin, and Jue-Yin) of the disease. The course also covers the therapeutic herbal formulas of Shang Han Lun, and their corresponding actions, indications, applications, cautions, contraindications, and the applicable diagnoses.
