Prerequisite: HM 330 This course involves the study of pharmacokinetics and the pharmacodynamics of herb/drug interaction. It covers the potential herb and drug interactions and the possible adverse interaction of herbs and prescribed medications. Also included are a comparison of drugs and herbs with similar functions and actions, a comprehensive procedure for pharmaceutical assessment of patients, and a review of pharmacological actions of frequently prescribed drugs and herbs.
