Prerequisite: None This course will examine basic principles of organic and biochemistry. Fundamentals of organic and cellular chemistry will be presented, focusing on chemical interactions within living cells are the foundation of all life processes. The structures, properties, metabolism, functions as well as practical and clinical aspects of the following groups of bio-compounds will be studied: amino acids, proteins, enzyme co-factors, lipids, and nucleic acids.
