COURSE DESCRIPTION
CODE AC 442
TITLE Acupuncture Techniques B
UNIT 4
Prerequisite: AC 341, AC 342
This course covers the clean needle techniques, management of possible accidents in acupuncture treatment, and preparation for various needling techniques. Students practice the point location and the needling techniques for six channels (Urinary Bladder, Kidney, Pericardium, San Jiao, Gall Bladder, Liver channels) and the extraordinary points. Students also practice ear, scalp, cutaneous, intradermal, and warming acupuncture as well as electro- acupuncture, moxibustion and cupping, and three-edged needles.
