South Baylo University is approved by the California Bureau for Private Post-secondary and Vocational Education (BPPVE) to operate and offer educational programs leading to the award of the Master of Science degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and the Doctorate degree in Oriental Medicine.
South Baylo University is approved by the California Acupuncture Board to offer continuing education courses and for its graduates to sit for the State licensure exams. SBU participates in student financial assistance programs authorized by Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended (Title IV, HEA Programs) and mandated by the United States Secretary of Education of the U.S. Department of Education (USDE).
The University's program is approved for the training of veterans and other eligible persons under United States Code Title 38.
The University is authorized by the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service to process Form 1-20, enabling prospective international students to apply for an F1 Student Visa.
The Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine program of South Baylo University is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) which is the recognized accrediting agency for the approval of programs preparing acupuncture and Oriental medicine practitioners.
